  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore – just two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course

Step 1: Knowledge Development – Chapters 1-3

The course begins with an introduction to scuba theory, covering Chapters 1-3 of the PADI Open Water Diver manual. Before heading out for the first ocean dive, participants gather for a quick yet essential briefing on safety and basic skills. Instructors go over the fundamentals of scuba, covering topics like equipment use, mask-clearing, regulator recovery, and underwater breathing techniques.

After this brief overview, participants enter shallow water, where they can practice these foundational skills under the watchful eye of an experienced PADI instructor. This preliminary practice ensures that each participant feels comfortable and ready for open water.
